Gulf of Thailand Conciliation

On 2 June 2026, the Kingdom of Cambodia initiated conciliation proceedings under Article 298(1)(a)(i) and Article 11 of Annex V to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea with respect to a dispute between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand concerning the interpretation and application of Articles 15, 74, and 83 of the Convention.
